Sorry for the wait… due to my recent career change, I’ve been falling behind on my post. Adjusting to my new career is taking time but I’m beginning to become accustomed to things. One thing in particular is learning how to dress in a professional setting, and building a wardrobe that is suitable. There are several different types of dress codes including; Business Professional, Business Casual, and Casual. Often times these lines overlap and can cause problems if you’re understanding of them aren’t clear. No matter where I am, I always incorporate my own sense of style. My latest buys have been related to my new job. Something I remind myself daily is that work clothes don’t have to be boring! One of my favorite places for business professional clothing is The Limited.com, I can always find great pieces at reasonable prices. They’re now running a sale for 60% off site/store wide, be sure to check them out! *Mention you’re an Educator and receive an additional percentage off*
Every working woman should have the following items starting out and build from there.

- White button down shirt
- Black/nude heels (no higher than 4 inches)
- Flats
- Work bag
- Trench
Heres a look at some of my day to day work styles, ranging from business professional to business casual. Items in photo can be purchased from the Loft, Limited, New York and Company, and Black House White Market.
